At Girls for Uganda, we believe that sisterhood has no borders. We work to raise money to help close the gap in access to menstrual care, health education, and reducing stigma by promoting open conversation. Without the proper resources, women and girls resort to staying home and sacrificing their education due to menstruation. A detrimental problem, with an easy solution. Money raised is transferred over to TURGET Uganda, our partner. TURGET, in turn, is then able to buy menstrual products, hire guest speakers to talk about reproductive/menstruation rights, and educate women about their bodies.
